“Operational excellence is impossible without a foundational commitment to safety. At Jer Barging B.V., compliance is not merely a checklist; it is the core culture that drives every voyage and every terminal operation.”

Johan de Vries, Managing Director

Our Core HSE Principles

We enforce a comprehensive, ISO-compliant HSE framework across our entire fleet and network of storage terminals.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (Goal Zero)
  • Zero-Tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy
  • Strict Spill Prevention & Vapor Control
  • Continuous Maritime Crew Training

Environmental Stewardship

Protecting the European waterways is fundamental to our business. All our vessels are double-hulled to prevent accidental discharge. Furthermore, our onshore storage facilities are equipped with secondary containment bunds, advanced leak detection technology, and closed-loop vapor recovery systems to minimize emissions during petroleum transfers.

Regulatory Compliance

We operate in strict compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety). We regularly submit to independent third-party audits and maintain full compliance with the ADN (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways).
