Expanding the Port of Rotterdam Footprint
In 2023, Jer Barging B.V. successfully executed a large-scale expansion of its petroleum storage capacity at the Port of Rotterdam, Europe's foremost maritime energy hub.
This ambitious project was driven by a surging European demand for highly secure, flexible liquid bulk storage. By integrating state-of-the-art infrastructure, the new terminal expansion adds over 500,000 cubic meters of Class-1 storage capacity. It features automated tank gauging, advanced vapor recovery systems, and deep-water berths designed to accommodate larger sea-going vessels, significantly enhancing ship-to-shore transfer speeds and operational flexibility.
